Thirty one Anglers turned out for Saturdays encounter and “The Slabs” certainly paved the way for success as the top 4 all came from that section. Club chairman John Burns gained a memorable victory on the day with a cracking 55lb 8oz. Drawn on peg 5 he fished ground bait in conjunction with a 4 hole cage feeder and pinkie offerings. His swim certainly was alive with fish as he caught at 12m all through the match.Second place went to Kevin Tipton from peg 10 with an impressive bag of small Skimmers for 39lb. Again small cage feeder fished short did the damage. Barry Wilcox finished a creditable 3rd with 26lb 6oz from peg 8 and again feeder fished short did the trick. Steve Mcqueen completed the frame from peg 7 with 20lb 12oz.
