wenty Anglers turned out for Saturdays match and with some extra water in the reservoir thoughts were that a big weight may not be needed to prevail. With the match starting slowly for many it was a case of being patient and ringing the changes where required. Top spot on the day went to Ashley Poxon from peg 80, despite being biteless for almost 2 hours he kept his nerve and persevered at distance. His reward was 9 good Bream for 26lb 13oz and a comfortable victory. Second spot went to Dave Ridgeway from peg 56 with 16lb 2oz, a commendable performance beating form pegs 53 and 54 both in his section. Cage feeder fished at short distance resulted in a nice bag of Skimmers. Chris Brown completed the frame with 14lb 2oz from peg 53. Again a patient approach did the trick as pleasingly some late Bream put in an appearance to respond to his method feeder tactics.
