Another sell at Calf Heath on Saturday, further endorsing the excellent fishing and getting so popular that there’s a possibility of some  anglers unable to book on from time to time  Top rod on the day was Nottingham veteran Chris Brown.  Drawn on peg 49 Chris went all out for Bream and the gamble paid off as plenty of decent specimens were netted. Method feeder fished at 45m accounted for his impressive 69lb 9oz haul.  Kevin Tipton continued his good form taking second spot with 51lb 11oz from peg 53 on the point.,  Ex River Severn legend Jim Gear came a close 3rd with 51lb 4oz from peg 80 next to the cottage.  Bream upto 5lb made up the bulk of Jim’s weight. Dave Nicholls completed the frame with a nice mixed bag for 44lb 15oz from peg 54. All his fish fell to cage feeder tactics.
