Twenty one Anglers braved the scorching temperature and high pressure at Kingswood in what turned out to be a predominantly Roach encounter. Venue expert Gary Johnson led the way with 145 fish for 30lb 15oz. Drawn on peg 49 he started on the pole taking 60 fish in the first 2 hours then he decided on a switch to the feeder for the remainder of the match  and the decision paid off putting together a cracking net of fish. Barry Wilcox secured second place from peg 5 on the opposite bank. Opting to fish the cage feeder short the Ironbridge veteran put together a lovely bag of mainly Roach for 26lb 13oz including a specimen just shy of 2lb .Dave Ridgeway continued his good form  securing 3rd place with 21lb 3oz from peg 43 despite plenty of interruptions from large Pike.
