Saturday saw disappointment for several anglers who couldn’t get on yet another sell out at Calf Heath  . For those who were fortunate enough to take part the hope was to draw one of the 3 refurbished pegs on the broken wall.As it turned out it was Dennis Kneller (Peg 1) and Baz Jones (Peg 2) who went fish for fish in a real tussle. At the weigh in it was Baz Jones who edged it with 78lb 12oz of big Skimmers and Bream. Dennis totalled a very creditable 72lb 10oz and second place. Over on the point Steve “Hollywood ” Mcqueen netted 58lb 12oz of Skimmers and Bream from peg 53 finishing a comfortable third. Jason Bucknall completed the frame with 41lb 7oz from peg 49.
