Thirty anglers turned out for Saturdays match and with the large number of Cormorants now hopefully dwindling,  anglers were anticipating improved sport.. Pleasingly the average match weights doubled from 6lb per man to 12lb per man. Mick Tonks took top spot on the day from peg 52 with 32lb 14oz.  Opting to fish the method feeder at 45m he netted both Bream and quality Skimmers. Coming a close second from peg 6 on the slabs was Dave “THE Mechanic ” Nicholls.  Cage feeder was the choice for Dave as he put together a lovely mixed bag for 32lb 4oz. Third spot went to who is currently  Blackfords most consistent angler Dave ” The Envelope ” Ridgeway.  Getting to work on his favoured pole approach he put together another nice mixed bag for 26lb 3oz from peg 10 on the slabs.
