Despite recent patchy sport it was yet another sell out at Calf Heath.  On the day Gavin Wyman took his first Calf Heath win in style as he romped his way victory.  Drawn on peg 54 on the famous point he launched his method feeder towards the mussel bed and he was into quality fish almost immediately. Taking confidence from his great start he never looked back as he finished 30lb clear with a cracking 48lb 1oz. Dave “The Mechanic ” Nicholls secured second spot from next peg 53 as he went steadily went through the gears picking of plenty of small fish for 18lb 11oz on cage feeder tactics. Martin Cartridge finished in 3rd place with 13lb 14oz also on the point at peg 56.. Bob Allatt completed the frame and you’ve guessed it also on the point. Bob’s 10lb 10oz came from peg 52.
