Saturday saw another cracking encounter at Calf Heath and realistically anyone of a dozen anglers could have been in for a shout of the Victory. However it turned out that  Brian ” Pork pie ” Nicholls managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of Victory. Unfortunately the Black country rod had 46lb 13oz in one net that left Nottinghams Chris Brown  in a position to take the Victory with 46lb 6oz. Drawing fancied peg 55 on the point he made no mistake taking plenty of quality fish on his favoured method feeder tactics. Marking Greening took 2nd place with a pleasing 44lb 8oz from peg 78 on the tins.  Method feeder fished on 2 lines did the damage with lots of his fish being netted in the latter stages . Steve ” Hollywood ” Mcqueen completed the frame with a creditable 40lb 3oz from peg 54 leaving Pork pie to settle for the crumbs of comfort of a section win.
