Thirty four Angler’s did battle at Calf Heath on Saturday and the sport shows no signs of slowing. Although 3 Angler’s decided not to weigh in? The rest of the field managed to average 30lb a man, and incredibly one section was won with 60lb. Bob Harris took top spot on the day with an impressive 80lb from peg 6. The former match secretary fished  on line all day at 20m on the hybrid feeder catching plenty of quality Skimmers and Bream. Another Bob in Bob Allatt finished in second place with 69lb 10oz from peg 79 on the tins . Hybrid feeder fished on one line all day accounted for his cracking 69lb 10oz haul  On the next peg ,80 Norman Carpenter came a close 3rd with a lovely mixed bag for 67lb 6oz all taken on Cage feeder tactics.  Barry Wilcox completed the frame with a creditable 65lb 1oz from peg 5. However it could have been somewhat different as the Jack field veteran went over in one net by 8lb costing him 2nd place
