Thirty one Anglers turned out for Saturdays Calf Heath encounter and a sharp overnight frost greeted the lads at the draw. It certainly was a day for patience and a cautious approach.  Nev Bailey snr took the honours on the day, drawing a fancied peg that being 54 on the point.  He set about fishing 2 lines one at 28m and one at 50 m. Well with 2 hrs gone no signs were forthcoming while John Burns on next peg 55 had netted 6 Skimmers.  Nev .managed to hold his nerve and was rewarded with a visit by some quality Bream on his 50m line. Continuing with his steady approach he finished with 7 Bream and 3 Skimmers for a very pleasing 25lb 4oz. Pete Jones secured second place from peg 5 with 13lb 4oz. Method feeder fished at 50m accounted for 3 Bream and several Skimmers. John Burns finished the match with 10lb 14oz from peg 55 to seal 3rd on the day.Steve Mcqueen completed the frame with a modest 7lb 9oz from fancied peg 80 .Two Bream taken on the cage feeder was enough for Hollywood.
