A modest turn out of 18 anglers did battle on what turned out to be a really tough day for many.Nev Bailey Snr took top spot on the day with 3 good Skimmers and 3 Bream for 15lb 6oz.  Drawn on peg 40 in the rushes Nev fished method feeder on 2 lines. Taking 5 fish in the first hour and half then just one more fish in the second half of the match. Chairman John Burns secured second spot with 13lb 14oz from peg 43.This time a combination of method feeder and cage feeder did the trick.Steve “Hollywood ” Mcqueen completed the frame with a modest 9lb 15oz all taken on the cage feeder with worm and maggots from peg 39.
