Thirty two anglers took part in Saturdays encounter and the reservoir continues to provide excellent Skimmer and Bream sport in all areas. On the day Salop feeder veteran Brian Ashley trounced the field with an impressive performance from peg 5. Opting for the method feeder Brian placed a real heavy emphasis on the Blackfords feed pellet, using 2and 3mm pellets in his mix he then matched the hatch by banding either a 6mm or 8mm Blackfords pellet. Well the proof of the pudding springs to mind as Ashley finished more than 30lb clear of second place with a cracking 87lb 5oz. Consistent framer Jordan Hall took second spot with very creditable 53lb 14oz from peg 10. Most of Jordans mixed bag falling to pole tactics. Keith Sproston secured 3rd place with 46lb 15oz from point peg 56. Method feeder fished at 45m accounted for both quality Skimmers and Bream. John Burns continued his good run of form completing the frame with a pleasing 45lb from peg 79. Cage feeder fished short and packed with ground bait and pinkie did the trick for the Blackfords Chairman.
