Fifteen anglers turned out at Kingswood on Saturday for what turned out to be a tough affair for many. However a very popular winner on the day was Nottingham stalwart Chris Brown,(photo above) Having recently returned to action after major surgery and a very testing few months he showed no signs of rust.Drawing peg 43 which was also a golden peg Chris soon got into his stride and absolutely blew the rest of the field away with a whirlwind performance. Method feeder fished at 50m accounted for 12 Bream and 2 Skimmers and a cracking 40lb 8oz. Second place went to big Ian Davies from peg 24. Four Bream taken at distance accounted for his 15lb total. Nev Bailey snr completed the frame with one large hybrid and 2 Bream from peg 41 for 9lb 13oz.
