Disappointingly there were 5 no shows for this round 3 encounter,however the remaining 25 man field got their heads down working hard for bites on what turned out to be a fairly tough day.

Top spot on the day went to Simon Twaddell from peg 54 on the point.  A patient approach on the method feeder accounted for a couple of decent Bream and several Skimmers for a hard earned 15lb 12oz.  Another angler who proved that patience was key is the current league leader Gary Oliver. Setting his stall out to fish Method feeder at 80m he had to wait around 3hrs before he got his first fish. He then got his head down picking off Skimmers for the remainder of the match  to put a very creditable 15lb 9oz on the scales. Salop feeder veteran Brian Ashley completed the frame from peg 56 with 12lb 8oz . Small hybrid feeder fished on 2 lines accounted for for some nice fish.
