Another excellent turnout for the latest Calf Heath Match which as become the norm and underlines the fact that the venue is amongst the best silverfish venues in the Midlands. Taking top spot on the day with 36lb 3oz was Steve Davies. Drawn on peg 80 he opted for method feeder fished at 45m and a flurry of fish particularly in the last couple hrs saw him over the line .Runner up on the day was Kevin Tipton with 30lb 1oz. Drawing peg 54 on the famous point he put together a nice bag of Skimmers all falling to cage feeder fished in conjunction with maggots and worm.In 3rd spot with 28lb 15oz from peg 8 was Ashley Poxon,  keeping busy all day fishing the pole at 13m he caught plenty of Skimmers and Roach. Barry Wilcox completed the frame on the day with a creditable 27lb 5oz, however it may  well have been a different story if he had managed to keep the Bream coming .Taking 5 good fish in the first hour or so, things unfortunately slowed up for Baz.
