Good cloud cover and a stiff south westerly breeze greeted the twenty four man field for Saturdays Calf Heath encounter and again 50lb plus was needed to frame. Finishing well clear of the field with an impressive 72lb from peg 5 was Jordan Hall, utilising the ever popular method feeder at distance he landed plenty of quality Bream and Skimmers. Second spot went to Simon Twaddell from peg 55 on the point, starting off short on the cage feeder he soon realised that he needed to change things as the anglers either of him were catching quality fish. A switch to the method feeder fished at 45m did the trick. The result was just shy of 57lb of good Bream and Skimmers. The ever improving Nev Bailey jnr completed the frame with a hard earned 50lb 10oz from peg 47. Young Nev fished 2 lines on ( yes you’ve guessed it method feeder) and netted 8 good Bream and some stunning Skimmers ..
