Well the reservoir certainly rolled back the years today and showed real signs of returning to its glory days, but even more pleasing is the weights that are coming from areas that even back in the day would have raised a few eyebrows  Twenty seven anglers averaged an impressive 28.5lb with the top 5 all breaking the 50lb mark and. the top nine all breaking the 40 lb mark.

Taking the top spot on the day with a Stella performance was Brian Ashley with 60lb 7oz..Drawing peg 12 on the slabs which certainly isn’t one that you  would run to, he got to work with his trusty method feeder fished on 2 lines. The Salop feeder man kept the Skimmers coming from the off all the way to the final whistle for a memorable victory. Second on the day was Matt Derry who concentrated on the pole on peg 80. The result being a lovely bag of Bream and Skimmers for 58lb 3oz. Nev Bailey jnr completed the frame with a really pleasing bag of Skimmers topped up with several good Bream for 54lb 15oz..Young Nev fished one line at 45m on the hybrid feeder with bites coming all day with only the odd interuption from Carp.
