IMG-20220209-WA0003IMG-20220209-WA0001With Winter well underway and the colder weather up on us it’s quite understandable to think I’ll give the fishing a miss for a while until things improve, however you could be missing out on the possibility of catching yourself some stunning Winter carp!

Whilst the fishing can be a little tougher during the Winter months some of the bigger fish have been known to get caught and in their glorious Winter colours.

As you can see from the pictures included in this post, we had a very happy angler holding this stunning 22lb 5oz Common carp caught from Kingswood!

It’s not only the weight that can make Winter captures rewarding it’s also how they look, just like the beautiful scaly Mirror carp caught by Warren Greenfield at Calfheath recently.

Don’t be put off by the cold weather, wrap up warm, get the brew kit out and get out on the banks, you may be glad you did!!
