Sixteen Anglers braved a wintery Calf Heath Reservoir for the last match of a very testing on off  2020 campaign. The lake had been in a somewhat unpredictable mood so the outcome was anybody’s guess. As it turned out, depending on the approach anglers chose then there was a good chance of silvers.

Congratulations on the day goes to Grant Harrison for registering his first match win in his debut season. Drawn on peg 55 Grant opted for the cage feeder with ground bait and maggot fished at 40yards. The outcome was 4 nice Bream and 2 quality Perch resulting in a very commendable 15lb 3oz.(see photo)

Second on the day with a cracking net of predominantly Roach was Dave “the envelope” Ridgeway. Alternating between small cage feeder and pole he kept the bites coming  to record a very impressive 12lb. (see photo).

Completing the frame was Dave Shaw who landed 2 Bream and several Skimmers for 11lb 10oz from peg 52.
